A keepsake box made in collaboration with ceramics artist Mirja Olsson.

A mitered  and splined box made entirely out of solid wood. It features a lid with handmade textured ceramic on the front and dressed in a coarse linen fabric on the back.

Almost all of the work is done by hand and with tools that will  leave marks on the finished piece. It makes every object special in its own way and gives it something you don’t get when it’s made by a machine.

Made out of Cherry wood, splines out of walnut and furnishing in birch.

Treated with natural linseed oil.

The ceramic is lava clay glazed with Shino and fired in reduction.
