A keepsake box made in collaboration with ceramics artist Mirja Olsson.

A mitered  and splined box made entirely out of solid wood. It features a lid with handmade textured ceramic on the front and dressed in a coarse linen fabric on the back.

Almost all of the work is done by hand and with tools that will  leave marks on the finished piece. It makes every object special in its own way and gives it something you don’t get when it’s made by a machine.

Made out of black walnut, splines in birch and furnishing in birch.

Treated with linseed oil.

The ceramic is stoneware clay glazed with Shino and fired in reduction.
